Just wanted to let you know that since we last spoke I’ve been doing really well and wanted to say thank you ! I am really enjoying the MSc conversion course and can’t thank you enough for having supported me in the last year. You were definitely a big part to my mental well-being improving and I am very grateful for all the work we did together. Also I have not had any bulimia episodes which is amazing after over 10 years of ups and downs. I still have the odd day when I feel anxious but I am much better with coping when it happens :) !

    Thank you!!

Hi Andy. How are you? Some news: I am actioning a career change to a commercial pilot / flight instructor. I realised it’s now or never! So now it is! I have gone down to 2 days a week in the banks – but in a team I get on really well with and I make a difference. I am doing some maths tuition in the evenings – enjoying that. And lots of flying the rest of the week and studying for the written exams as well. I have been eating healthy, lost 10% of my body weight, heart MRI was normal, been discharged from psychiatrist, no tablets. I just wanted you to know that I made these changes and have never been happier! Thank you so much for all your help!

    Thank you Andy!

Good Evening Andy, I hope that you are doing well, and I hope that you don't mind me sending you this email. Since therapy ended, I have been journaling religiously, i took the time to hire a coach that would support me in my fitness and eating journey (which is going incredibly!!), and my final exam for first year is in a week or so, which I am going to smash!! and then i would've completed first year!! I have never been so in control of my own mind, and if you don't mind I would just like to share an example with you. Today I noticed my mental health deteriorating and I took the time out of work to journal and read back what I had written, i made myself a cup of tea and I gave myself a pep talk, allowing myself to fully relax and feel what it was that I was feeling. I bounced back and it has not ruined my day. I am so aware of my behaviours and habits that I can stop and manage them before they get out of hand. I've been wanting to thank you for the therapy that you provided but I wasn't sure if it was my people pleasing or if I genuinely wanted to. I want to genuinely thank you for your persistence, kindness, words of wisdom and for sharing your experiences with me. I deeply hope that you are doing well and that life is good for you, because you have taught me how to enjoy life by managing my mindset and the trauma within me. You will always be a significant figure in my life that has taught me so much more than I could ever thank you for.

    Life changed

Hi Andy, I hope you are well. I wanted to send you an update and overall thank you. Not long after our last session, I resigned from the company having secured a new job at another company. I am thoroughly delighted with how things have worked out. I just wanted to send you this thank you message. Your help came at a critical time in my life and has made a huge difference to my wellbeing and that of my family’s, both now and for the future. Thank you ever so much. Best, Jason

    Much appreciated

Hi Andy, Just wanted to reach out and tell you how appreciative I am of your kindness, support, and knowledge of 'all things psychology'. I have managed to keep following my morning routine (including cold showers) and am exercising regularly as well! I still have some down days, but nowhere near like before I came for therapy. I can't thank you enough, it's given me a new lease for life and helped me find the happiness in the small things. I still use the 'not on my boat' analogy and have been passing on my (your) wisdom to my wife and friends! Thank you again David
